Cabot Semi-Solid deck and siding stains have an alkyd resin base that provides an extremely tough and scuff-resistant finish. Semi-Solid bridges the gap between solid and semi-transparent stains. If a lighter shade is desired, intermix Cabot Semi-Solid clear with other Cabot Semi-Solid deck and siding colors to achieve desired appearance. They are extremely durable stains for use on all types of wood decking, siding, and fencing. Composed of lightly pigmented, deep-penetrating, alkyd resin and refined natural linseed oil. These stains bring out the full beauty of the wood grain and provide deep-penetrating wood protection. They are ideal for use on most types of lumber such as cedar, fir, pine, cypress, spruce, redwood, and weathered pressure-treated wood. These water-repellent stains also resist cracking, peeling, and blistering. For use on decks, siding, fencing, wood patios, wood screening, porches, swimming pool walks, outdoor furniture, steps, and railings. Use on new or previously stained smooth wood surfaces. Dries to a natural, flat finish in approximately 24 to 48 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. Covers approximately 400 to 500 Sq. Ft. per gallon. These rates will vary depending upon the porosity of the surface. Apply 1 even coat with a brush. Do not thin. Clean up with mineral spirits.
